The signal from the pickups of an electric guitar or bass is so weak that poor-quality cables, cold joints and cheap contact materials ruin your sound. Switch contacts need to be made of special materials to permit loss-free switching of these low-level signals. All Lehle switchers feature special relays and slide switches with gold-plated contacts for totally reliable, absolutely zero-loss switching.

Adjustment of volume or distortion using a gain controller is a vital feature in many situations. The gain controllers on the corresponding Lehle products feature black anodized aluminium knobs set back into the housing so that they can be easily fingertip rotated but keep their settings during performances and transportation.

To exploit the dynamics of tube amplifiers to the full, the input voltage of Lehle products bearing this symbol is rectified from the power supply socket, then filtered, stabilized and doubled to 18V.

These products can be operated either using a 9V PP3 battery or an external power supply. If voltage of the external power supply drops below 9 Volt a gold-plated relay automatically switches to battery operation.
The Lehle Parallel is a compact and versatile line mixer to meet demanding tonal standards. The Lehle Parallel mixes the signals from effect units into the original signal, either before the amp or inserted into its effects loop. Send and return levels can be adjusted separately, and level relative to the original signal optimally selected using the mix controller. The send and return paths can, of course, be operated both balanced and unbalanced. The great dynamic range of the Lehle Parallel makes it possible to mix into the guitar signal a 19" studio effect with its low-impedance line level, for example, or to insert effects pedals level-adjusted via the amp's effects loop.
Thanks to their JFET technology, the Lehle Parallel's inputs can handle both high-impedance signals from electric guitars and basses or acoustic instruments, and low-impedance signals from keyboards and active electric guitars and basses with a broad output range extending from 20 to 100,000 Hz. A: With the Lehle Parallel L and Parallel M only a part of the guitar signal can be blended with effects, the pure signal will not be routed completely thru the fx unit.
Q: How can I mix the two pickups of my instrument? My bass has two seperate outputs for piezo and magnetic pickup.
A: The Lehle Parallel L or M can blend 2 pickup signals without any signal loss. One signal goes to the units input, the other pickup is plugged into the Parallel´s Return. Now the level and mix controls can be used to adjust your favourite sound.
Q: Does the buffer inside the Lehle Parallel L or M have the same function as the Lehle Sunday Driver?
A: Almost, the Lehle Sunday Driver was developed on the basis of the D.Loop´s buffer and has the option to increase the input impedance from 1MOhm to 4 Mohm. The Lehle Parallel´s buffer does not have this feature, but has a wider range, it works from -15dB up to +15dB.
